About Nigel and Sue
We are Nigel and Sue, and we are passionate about exploring the world, getting outdoors and spending time in nature.
Travel has always been part of our lives and between us we’ve visited over 70 countries. For the past five years we’ve been living van life on a long-term road trip.
How it all began
We first met WAY back in the 90’s when we worked together for one of the world’s largest youth coach tour companies. Life took us down separate paths for a while, but in 2012 we met up for dinner to chat about adventure travel and we’ve been together ever since.
Our shared love of travel brought us back together, and it’s still what excites us most. That early experience of life on the road shaped the way we travel today.
Life on the Road
Since starting van life, we’ve been exploring places in depth, taking the time to understand each destination, its culture, and its people more deeply than a typical short holiday allows. I mean, we spent 3.5 years on our Big Lap of Australia!
Since arriving in Europe, we’ve visited 15 countries inThe Poss Poss (our van), and spent most of 2025 exploring the Balkans. We quickly fell in love with this region, the history, the culture and most of all the people. The Balkans have become a surprise favourite destination.
Looking ahead, we plan to explore more of Western Europe this year, the UK and Ireland, and even a couple of surprise destinations we’re keeping under wraps for now. Our goal is to continue travelling slowly, discovering each place in depth, and sharing what we learn along the way.
Why we share our travels
We share our travel stories to document our adventures and help other road trippers travel with confidence.
We focus on the practical side, the small details that make a road trip more enjoyable. We share how to get the most out of each place, and how to avoid the pitfalls. Most of all, we hope to inspire others to get out, explore the world, and discover the joy of travelling at their own pace.
Whether you’re doing a road trip by car, campervan or towing a caravan, or even using public transport, we aim to be your best travel resource.
